The Amazing Race 17 Express Pass

The Express Pass was introduced as a new twist this season on The Amazing Race. It allowed a team (Jill and Thomas) to skip any one challenge during the first 8 legs of the race. Now that the Express Pass has been used, do you think it was a good addition to the race? Would you like to see it come back next season?

[Daniel]

I like it. It's not a major twist, which in a way is good. It's just a little reward for coming in first in the first leg of the race and it comes with some strategy of when to use it. Yeah nothing wrong with this thing.

I like it also. Like Daniel said, it's not something totally major, and they really do have to know when they really need to use it.

I like it for the same reason as the other two.

I liked having the Express Pass but I wish once Jill and Thomas used the pass, it would go back into play (similar to the hidden immunity idol in Survivor) and the next team to get 1st place would then get it. They could use it until the 8th leg.

I thought it was implied that there would be more than one express pass available in the course of the show, but maybe I was reading into what was said incorrectly. I think its a good addition to the show compared to some of the other things they've tried out. But I agree with you alex, it would be better if it went back into play after it was used so someone else would have a chance at it.
