Wasn't as satisfying for me, I wanted Colton blindsided by his tribe, not by appendicitis :down. I wanted him put in his place in the game everyone says he loves so much :lol. Karma for sure though and yay at not seeing him next week :woo Going to be an awesome episode no matter what.

I'm really curious to see how this game will play out. My prediction is the girls (with the exception of Cristina) will get Jay and Troyzan and take control, but I can see a lot of different things happening at this point.

Yeah, they wouldn't show that part if it wouldn't lead to anything, though a real alliance, dunno. Based on previews, seems like the guys don't have it together (without Colton to boss them around :eek), but previews can be misleading, so I'm feeling nervous for my girls :lol I hope Kim, Chelsea, Sabrina and Jay can succeed. If they can bring Christina, Leif, Jonas with them, even better! :D

I know how you feel, Acfan, about not feeling fully satisfied by that. I don't generally agree with the idea of somebody you love to hate, but I did have a strong feeling that Colton couldn't win the game and was looking forward to the moment when he came to that realization. Now he's probably thinking he would have won. And it was super disappointing that Alicia got out of her jam...hopefully thats only temporary. At least Christina has a few more options now. Her vote becomes a valuable commodity, so people might have to start treating her nice for once.

Black day in Survivor history :( I hope Colton will return in some future second chances season.

I'm also kinda annoyed that it's merge already. The game has barely started, we've only seen 4 votes. I hope it will be watchable now with the huge gap that Colton left. At least everyone is pretty likeable in my book, especially Jonas (his best quote was probably the one about Colton's karma xD). Not really a fan of Greg/Michael/Jay, but don't hate them either.

Personally I'm not going to enjoy someone leaving the game like that and I thought Colton brought a certain level of interest into this game, I do think he will return for a second chances season.

Plenty of people have been medically evacuated and haven't been given a second chance and people haven't been that worried about it. But I guess they were all mostly reasonable people and not horrible, disgusting excuses for human beings so we have to give him support :S

Well true but I don't agree with people enjoying over someone's pain and feeling happy about them suffering. Also I do think that Colton is a potential to really control a game and he's someone people love to hate, therefore I wouldn't be surprised if they'd decide to bring him back in the near future.

I don't rejoice that he was in pain (ok, maybe a little). I'm just very happy that he is out of the game because his attitude was awful. It's one thing to do strategic move (and I do love "evil" players often times), but it's another to arbitrarily decide you don't like someone and then make their life miserable by being a complete B****

Honestly, I see it too :( I think no way he was going to win, but now he's gone, I can sort of admit to myself what been bothering me about his game :lol. As deplorable a person as he is, he is good at whatever it is he's doing. For some reason Tarzan respects and listens to him, Jonas is scared sh*tless of him, and Leif and others are always trying to get on his good side. It was part hidden idol, but also part Colton. I believe Jonas' awed observation of his game: does nothing, but gets all the information and control. Hate to admit it, but he would have done damage come merge, and might even come out on top (:puke) If he's brought back though, I doubt he's going to be successful, ala Russell in Redemption Island. He's notorious now, and I'm glad they had a redemption theme before his season. I'm sure Survivor will think of a way to get him back though.

:yeahthat I LOVE evil players to a point too. I love those 'do whatever it takes' kind of players, but when I feel like they're evil at their core, I'm out. That's why I have some love for Jonas. He seems like he's up for anything, but in a non-personal, self-aware way. Can't wait to see next week if he's a real player or a dud without his boss.

I'm here with ACfan, totally not satisfying to see him medivaced. I wanted him to go down! I wanted him to get the boot from his cast or win the whole damn thing. It was karma, but I worry there is like no one interesting left on this cast. I'm still surprised you all as a whole seem to think this season is fantastic. :knifehead

I get that it's a racial slur (or can be seen as, depending on how you define ghetto), but that doesn't mean Colton doesn't want to be associated with black people and it doesn't make him a racist. Sabrina and Jonas were two of his best friends in the game, so there's really no need to judge and generalize about someone's preferences for people. It's really so easy to blow this all up to put him in a certain group and to generalize about what others do and think, but by throwing around these classifications you're as judgmental as the person you're accusing.

He was a terrible player as well. Really, Russell's game? It was played by Russell and got him to the final three and a loss, twice. That's the game of a brilliant strategist?
At least Russell managed to procure his II on his own. Colton couldn't even get an II properly. What a waste of space. For the record, he didn't even have appendicitis. That's how pathetic he is.

Nice to see you toque, and thank you for that interesting video. It definitely helps to illustrate my point that Colton does and says things that can be reasonably seen to be racist. Is someone who makes racist slurs a racist? That seems a reasonable inference. I suppose we can try to draw conclusions about whether he's a lot racist or a little racist, but even if he's only a little racist, well, that still makes him racist.
People put themselves on reality tv with the knowledge that they will be judged by the viewing audience. That's a big part of the viewing experience. If we watch and we say that Coach is a hypocrite or that Russell is a creep or that Sash is sleazy, then we're making judgements on them. That's what the show invites us to do and that's what we do. To try to be less judgemental and to try to accept people as they are is a good goal, probably, but to accept very negative personality traits isn't something I really want to aspire to. If that leads someone to judge me as a judgemental person who is as bad as the person I'm judging - well, I guess I'll have to live with that.

In other Colton-related matters, I do feel like he was running the show - that seems pretty clear. I also feel like he was an awful player, because treating everyone badly is a terrible long range strategy. I would have liked for him to be eventually voted out so he could see that - but he would probably be like Russell and not see that it was his own fault he didn't win, so I guess I'll need to just be okay with how he went out. The quality of play up until this point has been terrible because Colton was really the only one running a strategy. The good thing about him going is that now other people will have to pick up their game and start playing. Maybe Jonas will start doing something for himself instead of being happy to be Colton's bitch, as he so eloquently put it.
As for Colton coming back for another season - Lets see...how do i put this...Hitler made Europe in the 30's and 40's pretty dramatic, but that doesn't mean I want him to come back and run Germany again. And, no, I'm not saying Colton = Hitler, I'm just saying I don't care for either of them.

He was a bit racist, but more than anything, for me, he was a big bully. He categorizes people into cool kids and losers and he would see and use anything he can against the people he deems as losers, including attacking their race and socioeconomic standing. I don't think it's as general as just hating on race, he seems to really like Sabrina and wasn't shown to have said anything personal against Jonas. Either way, still incredibly nasty.

The BEST episode so far. I was so tired of hearing him tell the other players when they would be leaving. He was so full of himself! Hate to see anyone in pain....but, his leaving makes the show better already! :) Now if Alicia would hit the road I would be happier! :)

I couldn't have said it better myself Nana. It will be interesting to see how the strategy evolves now that Colton's out of the game. Hopefully someone is able to step up. It looked like Jonas was just vying his time until Colton left. Now that Colton is out of the way hopefully he plays a bigger role. Should start getting fun. couldn't stand Colton, especially the way he treated poor Christina. Favorites have to be

Kim (Playing a smart game with idol and side alliences with guys/Chelsie),

Kat (Stupid as Hell but I just can't help but to love her),

Sabrina (Smart, seems like she knows what she's doing),

Troyzan (Seems fairly likeable, and has some game)

Jay(Seems to be low-key, but has shown potential to be smart when he threw his original allience under the bus due to numbers. Plus who can hate on someone who says Bum Puzzled??)

Can't wait to find out how it all plays out

I like Kat too. Very enthusiastic player. Her and Colton are closest in age, but couldn't be more different from each other.

Yeah, turns out, Troyzan is well liked by the ladies based on a secret scene from an episode or two back. Jonas, not so much unfortunately at the time. Sabrina said that had Troyzan been the one to negotiate the use of the net, they might have agreed.

Favorite moment of the episode. Kat being so concerned about her appendix. When the camera panned from Lief telling his appendectomy story to Kim telling hers, Kat's face was priceless! So good !

This really is the first season in a while where it is unpredictable at the merge. The last few seasons you could tell at least what direction it was going, but now it is wide open.
