:rofl
This is Michigan, who went to the Rose Bowl and thought they should've had a rematch with Ohio State for the national championship last year!
This is Appalachian State, who is a division I-AA school!
What happened? Michigan went for two when they didn't need to. So when they finally scored a TD to go ahead, they were only up by two instead of three points. So the field goal that Appalachian kicked gave them the victory instead of just forcing a tie.
Lloyd Carr needs to be fired......like last week if possible. No excuse.
My husband (a U-M alum) is so totally shell-shocked right now, he's in a fog. I hope he can find his way home from work tonight! Really bad way to start the year. You're right, no excuse.

The worst thing about it is that the season is virtually over for them now. They have ZERO shot at a national title of course.
It must be horrible because you wait all off-season for your next shot and it ends almost before it starts.
The game didn't even have a betting line in Vegas. Wow.

Living in Michigan and Working in South Bend (Home of Notre Dame) I can't wait to hear what the local radio stations will have to say about this

Wow, people are really passionate about college ball. Unfortunately the same excitement level doesn't exist up north. :(

It's sports! Any team can can screw up, and any team can have some luck. It happens. Sometimes I think it's good for these "college" teams who think they are "all that" to find out maybe they aren't "all that"!
Nothing like a lesson in life!!

Ah-hem... excuse me?
I'm sorry Bambi, but we are "ALL THAT"
This was just us being nice to the poor I-AA team, and letting them feel like the big dogs! Watch us on Sept 15... we'll be whooping Rudy's butt!

Callie, Callie, Callie! Oh yes, I agree, they were just being nice. ;) Actually, I think they were being themselves (thinking they are All That!).
Not always a good way to think about yourself...eventually, you're gonna find out that you're not All That. :rolleyes
Over-confidence can be such a learning experience at times, can't it?? :lol
