Winners of 10 in a row and 21 out of 22, the Rockies are now ticketed for the World Series!
They'll play game one next Wednesday in either Cleveland or Boston.
The ONLY way to stop the Rockies from winning is to stop them from playing! They'll get nine days off before playing again.
I don't even know who they are playing, but I'm gonna make a very BOLD prediction. Rockies in five! Yes, I do realize that means that they'd actually lose a game. I said it was bold! :lol
You can't stop the Rocks!

Love your new av Dennis!!!!!
I cannot believe that the Rockies are in the World Series!!!!!
:woo :woo :woo :woo
I'm so thrilled, so happy, so trying to find a way to get me some World Series tickets!!!! :)
An observation that I heard last night that I thought was really poignant was that in professional sports teams and owners and fans want winners RIGHT NOW - like the Yankees with all their big name free agents and $200 million payroll.
But for the Rockies, these guys have mostly come up through the farm league system or were scouted and recruited from Latin America. This team took time to come together and mature to this point and I think that makes this trip to the Big Show just that much sweeter both for the team and for the fans! I mean, this streak is really a team streak, not just one or two players coming in every time and saving the day...Helton, Holliday, Matsui, Torrealba and now Smith have all had heroic moments not to mention the awesome grind of the pitching staff and the defense.
Anyway, I'm thrilled - Go Rocks!!!!

Rockies, Red Sox, World Series! I cant wait!
My Prediction, Red Sox in 4!

The Red Sox have to get past Cleveland first! :lol
They are in danger of going down 3 games to 1 tonight.
The only way the Sox could sweep the Rockies would be if Beckett started all four games. Outside of him, I really don't see any advantage for Boston. The Rockies haven't lost four times in over a month! It would be shocking if they lost four times in a row!!!

Did I say in danger of falling behind 3 to 1? I meant to say in GRAVE danger! They are down 7-0 in the fifth inning.
They'll need to win three straight against the Indians and that will mean beating Sabathia and Carmona. And Josh Beckett can only pitch once more.

We did It OMLB!
Colorado finally in going somewhere big.
I can't remember the last time this has happened.
I say clear streak. We don't lose again until 2008!
it's Rocktober can you feel it?

I do believe it will be the Indians vs the Rockies this year!
:woo Riddle! Are you too young to remember the Broncos back-to-back Super Bowl wins? That was the last time I remember the city feeling like this. :)
My bold prediction: I agree with Dennis that it will be a 5 game series - the Rockies will lose game 1 and then win the next four.

I'm hoping the Tribe will make it! I stand behind my Tribe!! Since my first game I went to in 1959! And If they do make it to the Big Show, I think it will go longer than five games.
But as I have said before, don't count the Cleveland teams out in the playoffs, but once they get "THERE"...well, that's a different story. :(
But, first I have to be concerned with Boston. And we have rain in the forcast for tomorrow in our area. :rolleyes

Yup I don't rememeber that OMLB.
But yes it does feel good here.
Some much excitment in the air.
I can just smell it!
I can't wait.
I hope I go to one of the games it will be super fun!

I'm still hoping for The Tribe. But who knows??

Well, the Red Sox have the biggest weapon in the series. They've used it twice and it's gotten them two wins. But that's the last time they can use Beckett until they reach the World Series or Spring Training.
I have confidence that Carmona will be leading the Indians to a victory next game. Schilling will need to recapture some magic, but I just don't think he can.

I'm still hoping for the Tribe!! But honestly, I don't like it that we have to go back to MA. I've only had two full blown Deja Vu experiences in my life, both in the state of MA!! One in Boston, when I walked through Paul Revere's house, I knew every part of that house and I was only 10 years old at the time. The other, Salem, I knew every part of that whole town, and I was 15 when I visited Salem, but it was like I had lived there my whole life!!
I want the Indians to win, but damn, I think I actually lived in MA in maybe a past couple of lives!! :)
Go Tribe!!! Please, I've been waiting since 1959 (going to my first Indians game), for you guys to win a World Series. It's 2007, Indians, win The Big Show this time, for crying out loud!!!

As usual, when it comes to "crunch" time, Cleveland teams suck!!
I'm going with the Rockies, I just can't stand the way Manny looks now, he looked so normal when he was with us back in 1995. :)

The Indians didn't just lose. Frankly, they were destroyed in the last three games. The Red Sox showed what they were made of.
Now on to the Series!

I'm very anxious. We were lucky enough to snag 4 tickets to both game 3 and 4.

Rockies, Red Sox, World Series! I cant wait!
My Prediction, Red Sox in 4!
Just had to congratulate shark on this prediction. Did anyone think this had a chance of coming true when he made it? The Red Sox were still being manhandled by Cleveland at the time. Impressive, shark!

Yes, it was a dead on prediction. You would've had great odds in Vegas if you placed that bet at the time.
The Rockies looked awesome against J.V. competition. The Red Sox are the varsity team though and they certainly proved that.
It's a great time to be a sports fan in New England!
