In Toronto, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are competing against the Saskatchewan Rough Riders! Who do you want to win? Who do you think will win? It's tonight, Sunday, November 25 at 5:30/4:30c on CBC.

Sadly, in the semi-final game, Winnipeg's star player Kevin Glen injurred himself severly, and likely would have won his first Grey Cup. Hopefully Winnipeg can manage without him; I sure am positive. :)

Honestly, I am very loyal to my city's football team, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Sadly, last year when Winnipeg hosted the Grey Cup, we lost out to Toronto from hosting OUR OWN team play the Grey Cup. THIS YEAR, in the Semi-Finals, Winnipeg prevented Toronto from going to THEIR OWN Grey Cup! :devil Karma! :lol I actually went to the Grey Cup last year; but it wasn't the same without my team being in the finals. :(

In the end, I am cheering on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers!! :woohoo You all should too! :woo Go WINNIPEG!

Rider Practice Suspended

Saskatchewan Roughrider football practice was delayed on Wednesday for
nearly two hours at Rogers Centre. One of the players, while on his way to
the locker room, happened to look down and notice a suspicious looking,
unknown white powdery substance on the practice field.

The head coach immediately suspended the practice while the RCMP were
called in to investigate. After a complete field analysis, the RCMP determined
that the white substance, unknown to the players, was the goal line.

Practice was resumed when the RCMP decided that the team would not be
likely to encounter the substance again.

Bomber Joke: Are you a Smart FAN?

A first-grade teacher explains to her class that she is a Saskatchewan Riders fan. She then asks her students to raise their hands if they are Rider fans too.

Not knowing what exactly a Riders fan is, but wanting to be like their teacher, the students launch their hands into the air. All, except for one; a girl named Lucy.

The teacher asks why the girl is different than the other students. "Because I'm not a Riders fan," Lucy answers. "Then what are you?" asks the teacher. "Why, I'm proud to be a Blue Bombers fan," boasts the little girl.

The teacher is a little perturbed, and asks Lucy why she is a Blue Bomber fan. "Well, my mom and dad are Blue Bomber fans, so I'm a Blue Bomber fan, too." The teacher is now very angry. "That's no reason!" she says loudly. "What if your mom was a moron, and your dad was a moron? What would you be then?".

Lucy pauses, then smiles. "Why, then," she says, "I'd be a Riders fan."

There are a lot of other jokes out there about the Saskwatchewan Rough Riders playing their banjos, being "friendly" with cousins, their cheerleaders being "interesting", etc. but the above two are still funny, and cleaner. :lol

I have to say, I realize that without Kevin Glen, Winnipeg's chances at winning have seriously decreased, but I am still an avid fan and have the highest of hopes for my team. :)

Even if they don't win, although I may look like a moron with the above fanatisizm, at least we will have more chances at the Grey Cup that I am sure will come forward. In the end, Go Bombers! :woo

Who is performing the half time show?
I don't know. I checked the CFL website, and it says that the halftime entertainer is performing via. sattellite. :shrug If that's true, that would suck. :lol

Last year, Winnipeg had Nelly Furtado perform live! So that was exciting.

Gosh, it's all their fault. :lol

I am 15 minutes behind on the game (taping it), but the Bare Naked Ladies just sang the national anthem, O Canada, which could possibly be a teller that they will perform at the half time show?

The teams are introduced, and the four men who are calling the game made their winning predictions (three said Riders :(, 1 said Bombers :)). Then I learnt that this will be a legendary Grey Cup because Saskatchewan hasn't won since 1989 and Winnipeg since 1990. Additionally, this is the first game EVER (according to the records since WWII) that a QB has made their first professional appearance in the Grey Cup!! :eek

Anyway, Saskatchewan wins the coin toss (tails for those interested) and decide to take the ball first receiving. Let the game BEGIN!

Well, the Grey Cup has ended; the Saskatchewan Rough Riders proved victorious. They now get to return to their banjos, their cousin's children, and their three teethed women, along with that shiny grey cup. That may be it for the 95th Grey Cup, but it's not even close to being finished for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the long run! Long live blue and gold! Long live the Blue Bombers! Long live WINNIPEG! :)

By the way, does everyone know that yesterday was the last game on the CBC? TSN has an exclusive 5 year deal to broadcast ALL the games. No more football on the CBC. :(
