Having a Baby's Gotta Be Easier Than This
Sun April 26, 2009. 8:00PM
The teams participate in an Olympic-themed task in Beijing, where they must swim the same distance Michael Phelps swam in the 400-meter individual medley; two teams continue to hold grudges against each other.

Now I wonder who the 2 teams are that hold grudges against each other are.:p

If I was a betting man, and I am, I would guess tonight is a non-elimination. There usually is one right about now

That was an insane episode. :eek
I feel bad for Jaime and Cara. I wanted them to win a prize for once.
I can't believe after getting a painful foot massage and either swimming 400m or sync swimming the leg isn't over! If I went through all that, my parents would have to hold me back from hitting phil. :lol
These were some of the hardest tasks I have ever seen on TAR.
Was it Jaime and Cara that said all the cab drivers "look alike"? :eek

I'm sorry, but I found something that really pissed me off about Margie tonight.
She was such a big fat lying hypocrite.
When they were in the cab she said something like
"On land they may be fast, but in the water they are nothing. *Insert Laugh here*"
Didn't you just get pissed at them for laughing at Luke at the pit stop and now you are laughing at them about them not being able to swim?
Sorry this really pissed me off about her and this makes me hate this team even more now.
I was loving when Luke was in pain at the foot massage. I cried I was laughing so hard. Sorry I know this is mean and cruel but he deserve it... *Insert Laugh here* Oh know.. I hope margie didn't hear that...
Ugh I hate them oh so much.
Poor Jaimie and Cara :( That's ok Your first place will come at the right time. Your going to win the whole race. :D I can just feel it.
I'm actually glad it's TBC because now their is a chance Margie and Luke won't be in the final leg. :D

Hey I didn't think of that. Now that would be great if they got the boot. I have had enough of them as well.
I think it was Jaime or Cara who said
"Do we have to beat Michael Phelps time?"
"No, that would mean we would be in the Olympics"
:lol

I didn't like that either. Time to grow up and move on already.
My best laugh of the night was when Jamie and Cara hit that mat, emotionally spent and ready for their win... just to find out the leg wasn't over. That may be a bit mean, but the look on Cara's face! Priceless. :lol
I'm for Victor and Tammy for sure now I guess. I just don't know who else to root for.
Someone else mentioned that they only like one person for each team. I feel a lot the same way... Cara, Tammy, Kisha... these are my favourites. And I still respect Margie for running a great race so far, even if she is stupidly blind when it comes to her deaf son.

I'm sure if Margie was to ever stroll through this forum or possibly others out there, I'm sure she would be none too pleased to see all the dislike so many of us have for her and her son. I feel the same way about them, and certainly do not want to see them win!

I thought those tasks were unbelievably feeble! A 10 minute foot massage? Sure, its painful, but its 10 minutes. If you ask them to stop, then they start again from the beginning, so of course no one is going to ask them to stop. Then swimming 200 metres each? 4 lengths of a pool? That's pathetic! Obviously its problematic for people who can't swim, but that is nothing. I think those might be the worst tasks I've seen yet.
Hey, I just noticed the little flags in the corner of the eliminated teams in the header. Nice touch, Maxx!

Just wait until CFK gets in this thread. He'll have his 2 cents about the tasks :lol .

I have to agree that I hooted and hollared when I heard Phil say "But.." :rofl . I just really despise them. Did they think it was going to be easy being on this race? Did they think they were just going to be in countries where she could speak English? The way they have treated locals has been so offensive. I also didn't like the her comment about the taxi drivers.
But I thought this was the best episode of the season (I smell another Emmy win with this one)! It was so suspenseful and dramatic. I was so scared for Tammy/Victor, but it's good to know that it isn't the end of the leg. I just don't know which team I want out more, Jamie/Cara or Margie/Luke. I wonder if the foot massage and swimming will take a toll on the next part of the leg.
The only thing that could have saved this leg is if Luke got massaged with a bear-trap :down
Just wait until CFK gets in this thread. He'll have his 2 cents about the tasks :lol .Not that I want to stifle anyone's opinion, I don't see any argument that that sitting down in a chair for 10 minutes (even if it's painful) and swimming for 10-20 minutes (i.e. tasks that took 30 minutes total) could be harder than eating 2 pounds of caviar, unrolling 100+ haybales, climbing 150 feet on vertical ascenders, digging in boiling hot sand ovens for hours etc. Even the swim was easier than the one in Mauritius in TAR10 and that wasn't even one of the tasks, just an additional route marker! The sad thing is, these were probably the hardest tasks of the season :(
They went to Drum Tower (the 'faux pitstop') in TAR6, which was also a much tougher leg (4 hours painfully undoing locks :eek That's over 8 times longer than both tasks combined in this leg).
The difficulty level this leg wasn't so bad(:eek), just the fact that they were all so low-budget you could easily do them at home.
even if she is stupidly blind when it comes to her deaf son.SHE'S BLIND AND YOU'RE LAUGHING AT HER?! SHE'S HAD TO PUT UP WITH BEING A BLIND ""WITCH WITH A B ALL HER LIFE, SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO PUT UP WITH IT FROM PEOPLE LIKE YOU :cries

I wonder how Victors leg will hold up with the second part of the leg. It was already hurting him trying to get into the cab, you wonder how he will be able to do another leg.
Team eliminated next week is:
Kisha/Jen, based on photo evidence of all the other eliminated teams mingling with them at Maui airport
For the many people who questioned why Tammy/Victor didn't count, here is Victor's response on his Facebook:
"For the record, all of us (K&J, V&T) DID count before jumping--in fact, Tammy did the counting. It just wasn't easy when we aren't divers, and 3m is WAY HIGH, and we had to bounce on the board three times."
