Does anyone use this program that has a device accessible to apps?

I was using it off and on since March, however I got really into it in June and I'm gonna *hopefully* be running my first 5k on August 25th.

I'm doing my first 5k as a virtual 5k, where you enter your time on a website after you run. I'm looking for other 5k's to do later on that everyone runs together for a cause. My goal on August 25th is to complete it in under 45 minutes (I'm SLOW), but I wanna shoot for under 40 (closer to 35) minutes by the end of the year.

Does anyone else run, or use RunKeeper?

Hal I am so proud of you..seriously you amaze me you put your mind to something and you give it your all...this is amazing you are doing a 5K I'm so thrilled for you. Aug 25th virtual run can you PM me the info I'd like to check it out if you don't mind..

I use Striiv it's a cool gadget that has a few extras on it to make things fun.. I am just starting to run actually the red dress run in the french quarter a few days ago was going to be my first but I wasn't able to make it..my son and his friends are all in running clubs and marathon clubs they are heavy into running I'm hoping to catch up to them all within a few months..hopefully

This is a picture of red dress run with my son and some of his friends from a few days ago. My son is in middle to the left of the 3 girls and to the right of the 1 girl...yes all the guys must wear dresses..lol Just imagine that boy in the red dress will be an official graduate of Officer Candidate School Aug. 25, 2012 scary huh.. But then I lose him to Fort Sill Oklahoma for 6-8 months for his first official duties as an officer
