EW's 30 Greatest Music Artists Right Now
Entertainment Weekly has a list of the "30 Greatest Music Artists Right Now" out. While these lists are always completely subjective and incomplete, its kind of fun to see who merits a mention. There are certainly some people on the list that would be hard for anyone to deny a place to, others are defintitely there due to the qualification of "right now" - nothing against Gotye and Kimbra, but I would say they're are both on the list due to one (albeit extremely ubiquitous) song. Not sure they will go down in history as all-time greats, though time will tell. Personally, I prefer the rock genre, so I am happy to see listed Jack White, The Black Keys, The Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen and Fun, as well as Mumford and Sons. I'm also super happy that Fiona Apple is getting support for a big comeback Most of the list though is people I would say are successful and good representatives of their genres Though I know very little about country, so I don't know who those people are
Anyway, here's the list. What do you think of it?

Nice (and kinda surprised?) to see The Civil Wars and Fun. on there; I really like both, didn't even know they were that popular. The pop artists don't do much for me personally, but I understand why they made the list. Some I've never even heard of xD
