So, we have 4 players left to go and 55 in the pot. Luke says there's a max of 185 pts there, so we're looking for 130. We can lose up to 60 points and there are some 'tricks' in there. Let's discuss if we want to consider stopping the challenge, or continuing. I think the natural inclination is to continue, however, there's a reason for the 'captain' thing I think, which means that there might be logic in stopping when you're ahead. If there are people who feel like we should stop with money in the pot, I'd like to hear it (and also the other way around). I'm very 50/50, I want everyone to have a shot (not at exemption though , but I have a feeling that's already gone too) and also gain more but I also want to make sure we end the challenge with money and not just go with what looks natural.

We still have 130 fp to earn as opposed to potentially lose 60. The benefit still outweighs the potential damage and most digs sofar seem to result in nothing.

I think whichever we way go, we should all get a fair chance at digging. I think it would be unfair for some people not even to have a shot at an exemption for example.
So let's say either we all dig 1 or we all dig 2 times for example - then assess whether we still want to keep going.

One more question for Luke:
If a player has already dug up an exemption and finds another one (i.e. small chance but you never know), what happens then?

I think we only get to go one round, so no chance for that.

Ok I thought there would be more rounds, someone mentioned this along the way I think.

One or two doesn't mean it can't be three.
If there really are only 2 exemptions we have no reason not to go on I feel.
There is a slight chance we run into a negative amount, but there's a much bigger chance we run into nothing or something positive.

I would feel really bummed out to not even get a chance to dig tbh.
I don't know how the others feel that didn't get the chance yet but this is how I think about it.

Yeah I get it about not being able to dig, all up to you guys, I'm not going to stop against people's wishes. I do want it discussed though just in case some others have a different opinion. Otherwise, there was no reason for this 'stopping' thing . I feel we could really potentially earn more, I also feel, if the mole is in the later part, he could still sabotage this money, besides the fact that a normal player could just pick badly.

I'm okay with stopping actually. We've earned a decent amount of money. Sure, we could win more and there's more to gain at this point than to lose, but that's if it were just random. It's not random, we've got a Mole who probably knows where to dig to get money out, and if he finds like the 60 in one point (if it's on one location) we're back to -5.

Lan the scenario you painted is very unlikely.
Also you conveniently omitted to take into account the probabilities of it ending up in a neutral or positive result for us.

I haven't heard any persuasive arguments why we shouldn't go on with this, so I will take the plunge.
I hope it will end up in a positive result, but either way I think it's the best thing to do for us at the moment, given the odds.

You're fine to disagree with me, but I don't feel like I've omitted that at all. I said that odds if it's random would be in our favor and that there's more to gain than to lose. How is that omitting that it could be positive or neutral?

But yeah to be honest, I mostly don't want anyone getting any more personal rewards like jokers and stuff
