Big Brother 14: The Alliance - Back to Basics

The Alliance Pool is BACK! After a year off, I'm ready to commit to doing another and we are going Back to Basics. Once the Cast is released, I'll go over all the specific rules for this season, but I am trying to have a Basic season! The Alliance Pool is a lot of fun, and relatively easy to play in. You simply rank the House Guests in order that you think will be successful. The hard part is picking before the season starts. You are looking for House Guests who will win competitions, get food and luxury prizes, be America's Choice, and probably most importantly survive week to week. I will pick an Alliance for each pool player that is unique to you based as close to what you want (typically your Top 5 is my goal).

I've read a lot of rumors about the cast, but depending what the cast looks like you could have 3 or 4 HGs for your Alliance. I may change up the way I pick players depending what rumors may be true as well. More on that when we have official news of what's going on.


If you haven't played or followed the pool before, when we get a cast, you will send me a ranking based on who you want in your alliance the most to the least. You will not necessarily get your top picks, because I take everyone's requests and build teams that evenly represent House Guests and that each alliance is unique to all the others. Once the alliance is built, that's your team for the season. You then earn points for the House Guests winning competitions, playing the game, and even just surviving week to week, based on this Point Spread.

40 Points - HOH
15 Points - Being Nominated (initial 2, or POV replacement)
25 Points - Winning the POV Challenge
10 Points - Being chosen for POV OR -5 Points for POV winner if not used.
-15 Points - Being Evicted
50 Points for winning America's Choice
5 Points for winning a Have/Have Not Competition
15 Points for winning a Luxury Competition
-45 Points for an HOH going on the Nomination Block
15 Points for each Final 2 Jury Vote Received
2X(# of eliminated players) points - Surviving past an eviction

I was thinking the show premiered tomorrow, and after 2 pm today I'll have no time until the afternoon Thursday, but I saw it actually does come on Thursday.
